psychometry permissions for [community profile] lastvoyages

Cal has a relatively rare Force ability called psychometry or Sense Echo. Essentially, when touching certain objects, he can witness events connected to it. It's not true for every object, and seems to be somewhat dependent on if there's a particularly strong positive or negative emotion associated with it. For really intense, horrific memories, he can experience it as if he's literally in the body of the person going through the event.

To flesh out his experience on the Barge, please comment below with any memories of your characters (past or present) that he might be able to pick up on and what object might trigger the memory. If there are associated threads or clips from your character's canons that would provide some insight into the memory, that would also be appreciated but is by no means required!

Here's a form you can use if you'd like, or feel free to edit to suit your needs.

Hello warden, I figured I should finally fill this out~ I 100% admit I got a little lazy because I know you know the canon, but if you ever want something more specific please just ask and I shall deliver. o/

Player Name: Ali-chan

Character: Steve Rogers | [personal profile] punched_hitler
Canon: Marvel Cinematic Universe
Object and Memory Triggered:
1) Compass, which triggers largely the memory of taking the Valkyrie down, but also of visits to Peggy's bedside and flashes of her funeral. The Very Strong Feelings that come with it all are guilt, love, and longing, specifically of the homesickness variety.

2) Shield (you know the one~), which probably triggers something like the Howling Commando montage from First Avenger, but also the memory of simply dropping and leaving it without looking back at the end of Civil War. These trigger feelings of things like duty and obligation, and maybe some little bit of relief mingled with exhaustion (those two associated with the latter memory).

3) Dog tags, which Steve always wears under his shirt. Upon closer inspection, one of the two tags is Steve's, while the other is Bucky's. These bring up jumbled memories that it's probably hard to sort through because they're literally flashes of Bucky throughout Steve's entire life, up to and including the Barge. They are also accompanied by literally a giant tidal wave of FEELS that include love, guilt, desperation, and despair. (Pretty similar to the emotions from the compass, just Bucky-centered, rather than Peggy-centered.)
